The IMF is wrong. Look at the 20 year, 10 year and 5 year regression lines for the long-term trend of the NZ Trade Weighted Index and you will see that the current level (66.1) is not far removed from those trend levels. The NZD can go either way from here. Get used to that idea and hedge your currency risk appropriately.

Exporters, stop whining about the currency and get out there with top quality products, marketed and sold well, and provide superb service from start to finish and after. It’s NOT all about price.
